Gerry Beaney & sons was started by Gerry in 1992 and has, in a short time, become a stable quality provider of metal work. Gerry Beaney came from a metal work and industrial background, where he gained his knowledge and skills in a variety of mediums and has been involved in many diverse projects from installing new industrial equipment, maintaining maintenance schedules, building a multitude of structures industrial and domestic, from million pound projects to small quick repairssparks

Then in 1997 his eldest son Ian joined to help cope with an increasing work load tempted by learning and working in the family company. He soon became an integral part and partner in the business, contributing to aiding the progression of the company. At this time, the business was mainly focused on working for the Environment Agency, maintaining their plant and site structures to their high standards, and, in addition, undertaking formal training in structural welding. The growth of the business continued, working for local builders and private customers making bespoke metal work to suit their individual needs. In 2006 the work for Environment Agency changed, as they restructured and changed their remit, but the business still carries out work for them to help them cope with their needs as well as attending to their pumping stations in emergencies or when special knowledge is required. The business also attained other service contract work but its main focus is structural and bespoke projects.

It was at this time that Gerry Beaney & Sons moved into their first Unit to give a quality base to work from. In 2007 Paul, the youngest son joined the company and became a partner with Ian allowing Gerry to take things easier, this new partnership keeps the family business going and ensures they are focussed to continue with their high standards of work. In 2009, as the business expanded further, it moved to a larger unit on the Atlas Business Park in Rye Harbour, from which they can undertake projects from a multitude of sources. This new, larger unit has allowed them to grow and develop into a more well rounded company able to take on diverse and larger projects but also to keep in touch with their traditional smaller jobs from clients who want something that bit special.
